Background
In May 2024, Frad was assigned by a Chinese metal process plant’s insurer to conduct a risk survey for one of the enterprise’s production bases located in Thailand. The metal processing industry involves multiple high-risk factors, such as molten metal leakage, fire, explosion, and toxic gases during production, making risk surveys particularly important.
Service Content
Based on the COPE model (Construction, Occupation, Protection, Exposure), a comprehensive on-site survey was conducted for the factory's raw material processing workshop, production workshop, semi-finished product warehouse, finished product warehouse and the surrounding area of the factory.
The production process, production equipment and their maintenance status were carefully audited. Especially for critical processes such as metal melting, casting and rolling. Frad risk management engineer team focused on survey common risks such as molten metal leakage.
Deeply communicated with the factory management team and held an insurance risk training meeting.
Core Highlights
Digital Technology Empowerment: Utilizing the global natural disaster database and GIS geographic information technology, Frad analyzed and predicted future natural disaster risks such as heavy rain, floods and tsunamis for the Thai factory.
Spot Hidden Risk: During the survey the factory roof that was equipped with a large area of photovoltaic panels was noticed, as it is a hidden risk point for the client.
